We are committed to dedicating all our efforts and resources to ensure you have the best working conditions possible.
The President of the Basketball Association of Montenegro (KSCG), Dragan Bokan, visited the national team players and coaching staff in Bar yesterday as they gear up for the European Championship.
For this summer at least, Bar serves as the training base for our basketball athletes, who traveled to Thessaloniki today. They will face Greece tomorrow (19) in their third friendly match ahead of EuroBasket.
Montenegro has impressed during their preparations so far, suffering a close loss to France (81:70) and securing a victory against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo (102:90). The Federation President expressed gratitude to the national team players for their hard work and commitment, emphasizing a future built on mutual trust and open communication within our basketball community.
“It brings me great joy to be here with you today, and to have the chance to speak to you for the first time as the President of the Basketball Association of Montenegro.
First and foremost, I want to extend my thanks for all that you do for our Montenegro and for donning the most beautiful jersey in the world with pride. I recognize that your success is backed by immense dedication, hard work, and sacrifice, and for that, you have my deepest respect.
In the brief time since I assumed this role, I have gained insight into the challenges you encounter, both as a team and individually. I understand that there is always room for growth, and I want you to know that the Federation will dedicate all necessary resources and support to provide you with the best possible environment for training, preparation, and competition.
Today, I am not here merely as a formality but driven by the responsibility and passion I feel towards our national team and Montenegrin basketball. I aspire for us to cultivate mutual trust and open lines of communication for the benefit of our national team, which stands as a pride of our nation. I am eager to listen, learn, and work together with everyone at the Federation to create the best conditions for our national team. Thank you once again for your commitment and patriotism. Together, let us march towards new days and victories, instilled with faith in our success!” declared Dragan Bokan, President of the KSCG, following the meeting.
Our basketball players will compete in the group stage of EuroBasket in Tampere, facing off against one of the host teams, Finland, while also contending with Germany, Lithuania, Great Britain, and Sweden in Group B. Four teams from this group will advance to the knockout stage, set to take place in Riga.
The European Championship is scheduled from August 27 to September 14, with hosts including Finland, Latvia, Poland, and Cyprus.
