The Montenegrin handball community is rejoicing as the cadets achieve a significant milestone, securing their first medal in junior competitions since 2010.

The women’s handball squad clinched bronze at the European Championship by triumphing over Spain with a score of 22:20 in the third-place match held at the Bemax Arena in Podgorica.

Montenegro started strong, taking an early 2-0 lead but allowed Spain to take their first goal eight minutes into the match, which shifted the momentum.

The first half saw Spain controlling the pace, going into halftime with an 11:8 advantage, but the Montenegrin team’s spirit shone brightly in the second half.
