During the World Championships held in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, Tatjana Brnović proved herself as one of the top pivot players in the game today.
In the encounter for 7th place against the Czech Republic, which the “lionesses” secured with a score of 28:24, she contributed four goals and demonstrated an exceptional defensive performance, highlighting the importance of Bojana Popović to the team.
“We take pride in all we’ve accomplished and today’s victory. Our match against the Czech Republic was solid and composed, successfully concluding our championship. We didn’t anticipate such an outcome, but we are incredibly proud of our effort, attitude, and overall performance,” expressed the 25-year-old from Podgorica.
In late February and early March, Montenegro will face Serbia in two qualification matches for the European Championship. Subsequently, from April 11 to 14, they’ll compete in the qualifiers for the Olympic Games. The contenders for the two available spots in Paris will be determined in matches between Holland and Germany, as well as Paraguay and Slovenia, which is coached by Dragan Adžić, the former coach of Montenegro and Brnović’s coach in Crimea.
“Qualifications are approaching quickly, just a few months away. Before that, we have another training camp, and we’re looking forward to it all as we begin our preparations,” said Brnović.
