Vasilije Adžić and Andrija Bulatović – fans were eager to see them perform, and just a few minutes in the Montenegro jersey were enough for them to prove that the “falcons” have both a promising future and a solid present.

Two debutants made their mark, each scoring in a 2:2 draw against Armenia during a friendly match held in Nikšić.

“I’ve anticipated this moment for a long time, preparing myself, and I believe I’ve demonstrated my readiness to continue on this path. While I’m pleased to have scored, I can’t fully celebrate because we didn’t secure the win,” Adžić shared with RTCG.

“We truly deserved the victory, as we created chances, although they also posed threats,” added one of the brightest talents in Montenegrin football.

The Juventus midfielder netted a header in the fifth minute, right in his hometown of Nikšić.

“It’s a privilege to represent the national team and to score a goal on my debut in my own city—this will stay with me forever,” Adžić stated emphatically.

Bulatović showcased his talent quickly, having initially impressed in the Budućnost jersey and now shining on the national stage, with expectations high for his future in Lens.

“Scoring for the national team at just 18 years old on my debut is an extraordinary feeling; though it wasn’t ideal since we couldn’t celebrate, we’re eager to focus on upcoming matches. There were promising moments in this game that we need to build on for the September fixtures,” Bulatović remarked.

He noted that adapting to senior football was straightforward for him.

“Transitioning from Kom, Rudar, Budućnost, and now the national team showed me I could excel among seasoned players. My self-confidence plays a significant role, and I felt capable of competing against all opponents, which made the adjustment easy,” he added.

His aspirations in the red jersey are just beginning.

“The ultimate dream is to qualify for a major competition, as I believe we deserve it—our team, led by Jovetić and Savić, is exceptional. I can’t imagine a bigger dream than that,” Bulatović concluded.
