Chicago Secures Victory as Vučević Records Double-Double

Last night, Chicago’s basketball team triumphed over Miami, winning 133:124 at home, marking their 22nd victory of the NBA season.

Nikola Vučević, representing the Montenegrin national team, contributed a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Chicago’s standout players were rookies Matas Buzelis, who scored 24 points on perfect shooting (10/10), and Josh Giddy, who also tallied 24 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Kobe White added 22 points, while Ejo Dosunmu contributed 21 points and nine assists.

Miami’s highest scorers were Bam Adebayo and Tyler Hiro, both contributing 23 points, alongside nine assists and eight rebounds. Serbian international Nikola Jović had an impressive 36 points, hitting five three-pointers, along with two rebounds and two assists in just 20 minutes. Kelel Ware recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

With a 29-loss record after 51 games, Chicago is positioned 10th in the Eastern Conference, while Miami is sitting 6th with a balanced 24/24 record.

In another matchup, Boston secured a 112:105 road victory against Cleveland, achieving their fourth consecutive win.

Leading Boston’s offense were Jayson Tatum with 22 points, Derrick White with 20 points, and Kristaps Porzingis with 19 points. Jaylen Brown added 16 points and nine rebounds, while Al Horford notched a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

For Cleveland, Donovan Mitchell led with 31 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Darius Garland with 25 points, and Jarrett Allen with 17 points and 18 rebounds.

Currently, Boston ranks second in the Eastern Conference with 36 wins and 15 losses, while Cleveland’s defeat halted their four-game winning streak, placing them at the top with a score of 40/10.

New York triumphed over Toronto 121:115 in another road win, marking their seventh victory in the last eight matches.

Jalen Brunson was New York’s leading scorer with 28 points, followed by Karl-Anthony Towns’ impressive performance of 27 points and 20 rebounds. Precious Achuwa and Mikal Bridges each contributed 17 points, while Josh Hart recorded 15 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

For Toronto, coached by Serbian Darko Rajakovic, Scotty Barnes shone with 23 points, while Jamal Shedd added 16 points and nine assists. Grady Dick and Jacoby Walter chipped in with 14 and 13 points, respectively.

New York currently holds third place in the Eastern Conference standings with 34 wins and 17 losses, while Toronto sits in 13th place with a 16/34 record.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets both achieved their third consecutive victories; the Lakers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 122-97, led by LeBron James’ 26 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds. Brooklyn clinched a victory with a late 6-0 run to beat Houston 99-97.

Portland secured a 112:89 win against Indiana, marking their fifth consecutive victory, while Philadelphia edged out Dallas 118:116, powered by Tyrese Maxey’s 33 points and 13 assists.
