While there were no wins to celebrate during the latest matches of this season—losing to the Czech Republic (0:2) in the World Cup qualifiers and drawing with Armenia (2:2)—the month of June brought some noteworthy highlights.

Most significantly, Montenegro showcased its promising talents in players like Vasilije Adžić and Andrija Bulatović, who represent the future and present of our football.

Both young midfielders, from Juventus and Lens respectively, made a spectacular debut for the “falcons” against Armenia, scoring goals and signaling that their time to shine in the red jerseys has arrived.

The match held in Nikšić was further distinguished by captain Stevan Jovetić, who represented our country for the 87th time, becoming the all-time record holder for national team appearances.

Montenegro’s next challenges will come in September, where they are set to face the Czech Republic and Croatia.
