Montenegro Demonstrates the Vitality of the Enlargement Process Through Tangible Results

Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ervin Ibrahimović, announced today that the negotiating chapter 5 – Public Procurement has been successfully closed. This achievement reflects Montenegro’s ongoing commitment to demonstrating that the enlargement process is active and that the country is making substantial progress toward its goals, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) this evening.
Ibrahimović expressed on social media, “This serves as another confirmation of our key position in the negotiation process and a clear signal that Montenegro enjoys unwavering support from EU member states. Our shared and attainable objective is for Montenegro to join the Union by 2028. Looking forward to seeing you in the EU.”
This evening, Montenegro marked the conclusion of another negotiation chapter (5 – Public Procurement) during the Intergovernmental Conference with the EU.
