Montenegro’s young water polo team faced a tough defeat tonight against Hungary, losing 12:11 in the third round of the tournament held in Belgrade.
The turning point of the match was the second quarter, where Petar Radanović’s squad fell short, losing 6:0. Despite this setback, Montenegro fought back, but ultimately could not complete the comeback.
Jovan Vujović, Danilo Stupar, Strahinja Gojković, and Matija Sladović each contributed two goals, while Tim Perov, David Stevović, and Lazar Vukićević added one goal apiece.
On Monday, the team is set to play two matches: one against Serbia at 12:00 and another against the USA at 18:45.
In their previous two matches, Montenegro secured victories over Australia (11:3) and Croatia (9:7).
This tournament in Belgrade serves as the final preparation ahead of the World Championship scheduled for June 10-18 in Bucharest and Otopeni.
