Partizan’s basketball team secured a victory against Virtus in Bologna with a score of 81:71, marking a return to a winning record after 25 rounds in the Euroleague.
Željko Obradović’s squad now holds 13 wins and 12 losses, while Duško Ivanović’s Virtus stands at 7 wins and 18 losses, facing slim chances of making it to the playoffs or play-ins.
This marks Partizan’s third consecutive away victory in the Euroleague, with the team managing the game effectively apart from the first quarter, which Virtus won 23:17.
Once the black and whites took a 27:26 lead in the second quarter, they maintained control for the remainder of the match. During the third period, the guests pulled ahead by 14 points. Virtus did attempt a comeback, narrowing the deficit to four points in the final quarter, but couldn’t threaten due to the absence of their injured leading scorer, Will Clyburn.
