The Ulcinj police are in pursuit of a 30-year-old man from Rožaje, who fled after resisting arrest and physically assaulting traffic patrol officers on the Ulcinj-Ada road in Štoj today, according to several sources reported by “Vijesti.”

The incident began when checks revealed that the individual from Rožaje, operating a Ford with Ulcinj license plates, was under the influence of psychoactive substances.

“Upon being informed of his impending arrest, he first struck a traffic officer in the shoulder, then shoved another officer attempting to handcuff him, and ultimately fled toward a beach on Velika Plaza,” a source informed “Vijesti.”

Thanks to the area’s terrain, characterized by low vegetation and trees, he was able to leave a visible trail.

The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office (ODT) has confirmed to “Vijesti” that the suspect is still at large, that a search is actively ongoing, and that he is already known to the Ulcinj police.

Reports from “Vijesti” suggest that the individual from Rožaje is likely to face charges for assaulting an official in the line of duty.
