I’m Not Upset About Paris Saint-Germain’s European Championship Win
French football star Kylian Mbappe stated that he holds no resentment towards Paris Saint-Germain for winning the Champions League trophy, just months after his departure to Real Madrid.
During his seven seasons at PSG, Mbappe collected several domestic honors but could not secure a Champions League title, prompting his exit from the club in July of last year.
“I didn’t leave too early; my chapter with Paris Saint-Germain had come to a close, and I harbor no bitterness. I reached the end of the road. I did everything possible, and destiny decided it would happen without me,” Mbappe commented.
Throughout his tenure, Mbappe made 308 appearances for the Parisian team and netted 256 goals.
“The fact that Paris Saint-Germain clinched the Champions League without me doesn’t affect me. I felt joy; I believe they earned it. They faced numerous challenges over the years. I was part of that too… They are the finest team in Europe. I can’t recall any team winning 5-0 in a major final,” remarked the 26-year-old forward.
PSG triumphed over Inter with a stunning 5-0 win in the Champions League final.
