Two Minors Allegedly Involved in Robbery in Downtown Podgorica

Two 17-year-old minors were detained on suspicion of robbing a Turkish national. A 13-year-old minor accompanying them is deemed criminally irresponsible due to his age.
According to the Police Directorate, a Turkish citizen reported that on June 17, in the early hours, he was attacked by several unknown individuals in the city center, who struck him and stole his wallet.
The police elucidated that the minors allegedly interacted with the Turkish citizen at a restaurant prior to the incident, after which they ambushed him near a bridge, knocked him in the head, and took his wallet containing personal documents and 300 euros.
“By order of the acting prosecutor from the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica, the two 17-year-old minors were taken into custody on suspicion of committing robbery, while the third minor in their company is considered criminally irresponsible due to his age,” stated the police.
