This afternoon, a powerful storm swept across western Slovenia, particularly affecting areas near the Italian border as it progressed eastward.

The storm initially struck the regions around Bovec and Kobarid before advancing towards Kranj and Kamnik.

In Ljubljana, strong winds accompanied by brief showers led to broken branches and damage to several office buildings.

More than 6,000 users of the electricity distribution network in the Ljubljana area experienced outages, with the most affected locations including Horjul, Polhov Gradec, Domžale, Litija, and Grosuplje.

Additionally, the winds uprooted trees in other regions, according to Srna.

In response, the Croatian State Hydrometeorological Institute has issued a warning about an approaching severe thunderstorm from Slovenia, targeting central and northern parts of Croatia.

The most critical period for this storm was expected on Monday evening; however, it appears to have passed, as reported by Croatian Radio and Television.
