It is contradictory to criticize the politicization of various matters when you have spent years appointing high-ranking party officials to key roles in multiple clubs and national associations. This practice has included placing national team athletes on electoral lists and in governmental positions, effectively merging DPS with the state and its institutions. You have politicized everything and diminished the integrity of our state and its institutions. Your actions have subjected the state to criminal influence, turning institutional leaders into mere puppets of crime, as stated by the relevant authorities.

This was highlighted by the Councilors’ Club of Democratic Montenegro in the Capital City Assembly, in response to remarks made by the DPS Councilors’ Club, which criticized the chaotic celebration of FK Budućnost’s centenary.

“The statement from the DPS Councilors’ Club has finally unveiled the truth. Thank you for stepping into the light and admitting your role in the disgraceful campaigns, manipulations, and falsehoods surrounding FK Budućnost. Your underground connections are the root of all the disturbances and targeted actions against individuals.”

“Your envy knows no limits. Every anniversary, success, and victory for Budućnost is a nightmare for you. Following a peaceful ceremony and concert celebrating unity without any divisive affiliations, you have initiated fresh persecution contrary to what you wished,” the Democrats stated.

The party urged the DPS councilors in the Capital City Assembly to instead celebrate the players, coach, and staff for their historic championship title, impressive points tally, and goal achievements, rather than engaging in ongoing attempts to damage the club’s reputation.

The Democrats further noted that there appears to be growing anxiety among various levels of the DPS as they recognize that efforts to cleanse institutions of unauthorized influences and combat crime are unstoppable.

“The miracle is panic. Nothing will halt the upheaval. We eagerly anticipate continuing our efforts to address connections, businesses, and financial flows. We look forward to upholding the rule of law. Let the anxious individuals evading justice know that the state will always prevail. Montenegro and Budućnost are united by love, not greed. With unity, not corruption. Long live the genuine patriots of our city and country,” the statement concluded.
