In the First Six Months, Montenegro Welcomed Over 940,000 Tourists
In the first half of the year, Montenegro welcomed over 940,000 tourists, reflecting a six percent increase compared to the same timeframe last year, as reported by the National Tourist Organization (NTO CG) in reference to Monstat data.
The report also reveals that the visitor count is 24 percent higher than the record year in 2019.
“Data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs indicates that 7,317,631 individuals were recorded at border crossings in Montenegro, which is five percent more than the 6,957 recorded previously. In June 2024, 2,798,477 people were noted at these crossings, representing six percent growth from the 2,647,888 logged,” the NTO announcement states.
Regarding the demographics of visitors, it is noted that tourists from neighboring countries make up the majority, with significant numbers also coming from the United Kingdom, Germany, Israel, the United States, Turkey, and Russia.
