The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Montenegro has issued a statement today indicating that it is actively monitoring the evolving security situation in Israel, Iran, and surrounding areas. Citizens are advised to refrain from traveling to these nations until further notice due to escalating security concerns and increased risks to personal safety.

In the announcement, the MFA highlighted its ongoing communication with allied countries, partners, and honorary consuls in the region to continuously assess the situation and offer support to Montenegrin nationals.

“Current reports indicate that no Montenegrin citizens have sustained injuries. The Ministry has received information that a Montenegrin citizen living in Jordan has reached out to our Honorary Consul there inquiring about possibilities for leaving Jordan,” the statement noted.

Furthermore, the Ministry mentioned that there have been no requests for consular help or interest expressed in returning to Montenegro by citizens currently in Iran or Israel.

“Civil aviation authorities in Iran, Iraq, and Israel have halted all passenger air travel until further notice. Montenegrin citizens in these countries are urged to exercise heightened caution and take necessary precautions for their safety, including staying informed with official releases from local authorities,” stated the Ministry, led by Ervin Ibrahimović.

Montenegrins in Israel are advised to follow updates through the “National Emergency Portal” (accessible within Israel) and to heed instructions from airlines via the virtual assistant from the Israeli Ministry of Tourism:
