A citizen of Danilov, Mirko Andrijašević (28), had his “Audi A7” and 3,550 euros temporarily seized by order of the High Court, amid suspicions that the vehicle and the money were acquired through drug trafficking.
This decision, made early this month at the request of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT), was issued by the investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica, Goran Scepanovic.
“There is reasonable suspicion that the aforementioned property was obtained through criminal activity, and there is a risk that the confiscation of this property will be impeded or hindered,” stated the High Court’s decision, which “Vijesti” has obtained.
Andrijašević was detained in August of last year following an operation by the Danilovgrad police, during which they confiscated four packages containing a white, solid substance resembling cocaine, weighing approximately two kilograms.
The Police Department officially reported that they recovered from Andrijašević a “Glock” pistol with obliterated serial numbers, along with a frame and 13 rounds, a spare pistol frame, eight rounds of unidentified caliber ammunition, a device and materials intended for drug packaging, and two precision scales.
“Additionally, a sum of 3,550 euros was discovered, suspected to be derived from drug sales,” the UP noted at the time.
After Andrijašević’s arrest, “Vijesti” was informally informed that he allegedly had connections with the Kavača criminal organization and that the cocaine was prepared for street distribution in Podgorica, Nikšić, and Danilovgrad.
Shortly after his initial arrest, he managed to escape from the police station but was later apprehended in Piperi.
As stated by the police on August 17 of last year, his search included personnel from the Podgorica Police Department, the Crime Prevention Sector, the Border Police Sector, and the Special Purpose Police Sector, alongside the Helicopter Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“During an extensive operation lasting several hours in Piperi, close to an elementary school, the police successfully located and arrested MA, who had been receiving logistical support from his brother DA,” they explained at that time.
