The Buducnost Voli basketball team continued its impressive performance this season by defeating Red Star Belgrade last night (96:89), sending a clear signal of their ambition to clinch the title in the regional competition.
After previously defeating Partizan in the “Belgrade Arena” (97:90) in mid-December, the “blues” succeeded once again against another Euroleague team last night in the “Aleksandar Nikolić” hall, marking their 11th consecutive victory in the AdmiralBet ABA League. The game in Belgrade was dominated by Buducnost, showcasing the Montenegrin champion’s stellar performance.
This is how Aleksandar Petrović, coach of the Brazilian national basketball team, described last night’s game, commending Andrej Žakelj’s squad and pointing out the key strengths of the Montenegrin champions.
“Budučnost took down both Euroleague teams in Belgrade and demonstrated that they possess an ‘X factor’ in the individual skills of nearly all their players, without compromising the team’s collective spirit. The synergy between Kamenjaš and Tanasković is particularly noteworthy,” Petrović noted.
This week, Buducnost has commitments in the Montenegrin Cup, including a quarterfinal match against Primorje, set for tomorrow at 15:30 in Bijelo Polje. Following the Cup, there will be a break due to national team duties, before the season resumes.
A season where Buducnost aims to make an impact.
