During its session, the Assembly acknowledged the end of Budimir Šćepanović’s role as a Constitutional Court judge, as he has fulfilled the requirements for retirement.

This information was conveyed by Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Mirsad Nurković, during the parliamentary session.

“On June 5, the Constitutional Committee recommended that Parliament confirm the cessation of Budimir Šćepanović’s role as a Constitutional Court judge, due to the fulfillment of the retirement requirements,” he stated.

On June 9, the Parliamentary Constitutional Committee concluded that Judge Šćepanović met the criteria for retirement.

The proposal received eight votes in favor.

A letter from the Constitutional Court to Parliament President Andrija Mandić noted that two judges (Snežana Armenko and Momirka Tešić) believed the reasons for ending Šćepanović’s judicial role arose on May 31 of last year, in accordance with the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance (PIO). Conversely, two judges (Desanka Lopičić and Faruk Resulbegović) claimed that the reasons for terminating Judge Šćepanović’s role would occur on May 31 of this year.
