Milan brings back the coach who brought them the Scudetto, Napoli persuades Conte, who will lead Inter?

Just a few days have passed since the Serie A season concluded, and already significant developments are emerging as we head toward the 2025/26 campaign.

The pressing question is – which coaches will be at the helm of the top teams, as currently none of the Top 8 have finalized their coaching staff.

The coaching carousel kicks off from the champion Napoli’s bench, with much hinging on Antonio Conte’s choice.

Conte has long been associated with Juventus, yet recent reports from Italy indicate he might be leaning toward remaining in Naples.

The reason behind this is president Aurelio de Laurentiis’s readiness to meet Conte’s demands during the transfer window – including potential signings like Kevin de Bruyne and Jonathan David, with an estimated £150 million earmarked for summer acquisitions…

If Conte stays in the south, it raises the question of who will be in charge at Juve, as it’s hard to envision Igor Tudor receiving a new contract.

Additionally, the fact that Massimiliano Allegri is on the brink of returning to the Milan bench, where he secured the Scudetto in 2011, signals Conte’s likelihood of continuing his work from this summer.

Allegri was nearly a step away from Napoli had Conte departed, with reports from “Gazzetta dello Sport” indicating that Allegri and the “Rossoneri” reached a preliminary agreement for a three-year contract last night…

Currently, Inter is also uncertain about their bench, especially with the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain approaching on Saturday.

Simone Inzaghi, who has both a contract and the confidence of the Nerazzurri leadership, is prepared to continue, but clarity is expected on Monday regarding his acceptance of a €48 million offer for a two-year deal from Al Hilal.

“As always, at season’s end, the club and I will discuss our plans for the future,” stated Inzaghi, who is participating in his second Champions League final with Inter in three seasons.

Should Inzaghi accept the Saudi offer, Inter would find themselves unexpectedly searching for a new coach.

Although Allegri was seen as a possibility, reports suggest that he is no longer a viable option, leaving only one potential candidate for Giuseppe Marotta.

This candidate is legendary player and Coma coach Cesc Fabregas, who has emerged as a promising talent in the coaching scene over the last two years.

After nine years, Gian Piero Gasperini is departing Atalanta and is close to signing with Roma, while Lazio has parted ways with Marco Baronio after a dismal season that saw them miss European qualification, potentially paving the way for Maurizio Sarri’s return…

Sarri is also a contender for managerial positions at Atalanta and Fiorentina. Meanwhile, Stefano Pioli is rumored to be linked with the “goddess,” and former Ajax coach Francesco Farioli is a candidate for the “viola.”

Bologna, the current cup winners, have retained Vincenzo Italiano by extending his contract…
