Indictment Review for Lipovina and Pejaković Murders Delayed
The hearing regarding the indictment of the defendants in the murders of Petar Lipovina and Žarko Pejaković was rescheduled today at the Higher Court in Podgorica.
The next session will take place on July 22nd, as announced by the president of the pre-trial chamber, Judge Zoran Radović.
The hearing was postponed due to the defense attorneys’ request for copies of the case file on CD, which is necessary for their preparation.
Attorney Vaso Bečanović was absent from the hearing, as there was no confirmation that he received the court’s summons.
Attorney Branko Anđelić informed the court that he had submitted the request for copying on May 19th, and mentioned that his colleague only obtained the CD yesterday.
On November 6, 2024, masked assailants fired over 30 rounds from automatic weapons at the vehicle carrying Lipovina and Pejaković in Podgorica.
The prosecution suspects Vuk Lalatović (25) from Nikšić and Artur Cimerman (28) from Belgrade as the primary perpetrators, who are currently being sought by the police. In addition to Lalatović and Cimerman, formerly known as Nikola, law enforcement is also on the lookout for Lazar Lazić (31) from Belgrade.
Sava Kaluđerović (21), Aleksandar Dacić (23), Miljan Marijanović (23), Nikoleta Uskoković (20), and a Danish national residing in Andrijevica, Tomi Ra Frost (41), have been arrested in connection with the double homicide.
The Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica previously announced that an indictment had been filed following their investigation. They stated that the indictment was submitted against VL, ASC, and LL for the offenses of aggravated murder and illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.
“An indictment has also been filed against SK, AD, MM, NU, and TF for the crimes of aiding and abetting aggravated murder, as well as for unlawful possession and carrying of weapons and explosives through aiding,” the statement revealed at that time.
