Endorsement for Abazović’s Bid for a New Presidential Term
The Podgorica board of the Civic Movement URA has endorsed Dritan Abazović’s bid for the party presidency. They have also backed the vice-presidential nominations of Ana Novaković Đurović, Milena Vuković, and Blažo Rađenović.
Abazović currently leads the GP URA, with previous support for his candidacy coming from the party committees in Herceg Novi and Bar.
“During the Podgorica City Board meeting, concerns were raised regarding the extensive concreting of green spaces in Podgorica and the ongoing ‘Velje brdo’ project, which lacks necessary planning documentation and poses significant risks to the environment, particularly the Mareza water source,” the statement noted.
The GP URA’s Podgorica board has unanimously declared that the party “must persist in its commitment to a civic, European, and ecological Montenegro.”
As Abazović mentioned yesterday, the fourth GP URA Congress is scheduled for July 5th at Lovćen. “Meetings of municipal committees are continuing in preparation for the Congress, with the URA Danilovgrad session taking place today,” the statement added.
