In these challenging times, when solidarity and support are crucial, Eid al-Adha inspires us to strengthen our connections through trust, dialogue, and understanding, stated President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović at a reception for this holiday, hosted by Rifat Fejzić, the Head of the Islamic Community in Montenegro.
As Eid al-Adha approaches, he extended heartfelt wishes to the Reis and all members of the Islamic faith in Montenegro, hoping they celebrate the holiday in prosperity, good health, and familial joy.
“Eid al-Adha, a celebration of spiritual strength and unity, conveys universal themes of sacrifice, understanding, and compassion, reminding us of the necessity to care for one another and to make daily sacrifices for the common good,” Milatović shared.
President Milatović emphasized the vital role of the Islamic Community in Montenegro, which he asserted is an integral part of the nation’s spiritual and historical identity. Its efforts significantly contribute to the preservation of our multicultural and multi-religious harmony—the core values of our society.
“I believe that by nurturing such values, we can continue building a more prosperous society based on justice, tolerance, and equality. In this spirit, I express my deepest respect, wishing you all a happy and blessed Eid al-Adha,” he concluded in his address to the attendees.
