Three Arrested for Theft in Podgorica, Including Two Minors

Authorities from the Podgorica Security Department have apprehended three individuals, including two minors, under suspicion of committing aggravated theft. The Police Directorate announced that V.Č. (21) and two sixteen-year-olds from Podgorica were taken into custody for allegedly breaking into a retail store around midnight and stealing a cash register containing 100 euros.
The police indicated that, after receiving a report of the break-in, officers swiftly enacted coordinated measures that led to the identification and location of the suspects in an apartment in Podgorica.
During the search of the apartment, authorities recovered the cash register and the stolen money, along with a PVC package containing a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine, which was found in the possession of one of the minors.
“The state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica has been notified about the incident, classified the act as a criminal offense, and ordered the detention of the three individuals along with a criminal report,” the statement elaborated.
