Police in Podgorica have apprehended a sixteen-year-old girl on suspicion of assaulting a minor.

“Officers from the Regional Security Center ‘Centar’ – Podgorica Security Department acted on a report from an injured minor female who claimed she was attacked by an acquaintance. The officers took appropriate action under their jurisdiction and detained the minor. The 16-year-old girl is suspected of having committed a criminal offense of violent behavior. According to the report, on the evening of June 6, while the victim was sitting on a bench on Save Kovačević Boulevard, the suspect approached and attacked her, striking her several times in the head. The victim then required medical assistance at a health facility,” stated the Police Directorate.

The suspected minor will be presented to the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica within the legal timeframe, along with a criminal report.
