Tudor Aims to Guide Juve at the World Cup
Igor Tudor, the coach of Juventus football club, aims to guide the team in the upcoming Club World Cup, according to his manager, Anthony Seric.
The Croatian coach took charge of Juventus in March after the dismissal of Thiago Mota. He has a contract that extends until the season’s end, which coincides with the Club World Cup scheduled in the USA from June 14 to July 13.
Under his leadership, the black and whites have secured fourth place in the standings, qualifying them for next season’s Champions League, following a thrilling 3-2 win against Venice in the last round.
Post-match, Tudor remarked that “it’s not good and it doesn’t make sense” for a coach to lead a team at the Club World Championship only to depart afterward.
Seric mentioned that Tudor clarified his position in discussions with Juventus sporting director Christian Giuntoli.
“After conducting interviews at that time, he and Cristiano had a discussion, and Igor will adhere to the agreement to oversee Juventus in the Club World Cup. He will not exert any pressure on the club for future decisions, as he naturally hopes to continue as Juventus coach next season,” Šerić told Sky Italia.
Meanwhile, Juventus management is reportedly interested in reappointing Antonio Conte, who recently led Napoli to the championship title this season.
