€30,000 in Aid for Families in Cetinje

The Blažo Sredanović Foundation has announced a grant of 30 thousand euros to support economically vulnerable families in Cetinje.
This initiative comes from the Foundation’s Board of Directors, who decided to provide humanitarian assistance of two thousand euros each to 15 families receiving material security. The distribution will be facilitated with the professional and administrative help of the Royal Capital and the Center for Social Work.
“The Blažo Sredanović Foundation was founded to assist the most economically disadvantaged families in Cetinje, as well as to recognize creators who have significantly contributed to the cultural, artistic, and scientific development and promotion of Cetinje,” the statement notes.
In addition, the Board of Directors has decided to grant one thousand euros each to 37 pensioners from Cetinje.
This initiative is conducted with the administrative support of the Cetinje Pensioners’ Association.
During a ceremonial session on Sunday, based on the proposal from the Foundation’s founder, the Board of Directors also chose to recognize contributions to enhancing and promoting cultural, artistic, and scientific creativity in the Royal Capital this year.
As previously announced, awards will be given to prominent Montenegrin and Croatian painter and sculptor Dimitrije Popović, the president of Matica Crnogorska in Cetinje, Vesko Pejović, and poet and former editor of Liberal, Zoran Stanojević.
Awards will also be presented to chess champion and Montenegrin national team member Nikolina Koljević, along with the top five students from the Faculty of Montenegrin Language and Literature.
The Foundation stated that these awards will be presented at a ceremony to be held at a later date.
Furthermore, the Franciscan Sisters, who have been active in Cetinje since 1946, will also receive an award.
