The trade deal between the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers, which saw Anthony Davis and Luka Dončić exchange teams, remains a hot topic in the NBA.

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokić also weighed in on the trade, which has created quite a stir in the global basketball community.

“Luka is definitely a generational player, a unique talent. I’m not diminishing Anthony Davis’s ability, but Luka is one of a kind, a player we’ve never seen before. He influences the game in numerous ways across various possessions. He was building something significant in Dallas, and I believe injuries affected him. Trading someone of his caliber certainly creates a major impact, as players take such moves personally,” Jokić remarked.

Jokić also addressed the fact that Dončić will not be participating in the All-Star Game.

“It feels odd, especially since we always have an amazing time together before games,” Jokić concluded.
