Starting at midnight, the Ministry of Energy and Mining announced that the prices of various fuels will rise by two to eight cents.

Specifically, Eurosuper 95 will see an increase of two cents, bringing its price to 1.45 euros, while Eurosuper 98 will rise by three cents to a total of 1.49 euros over the next 15 days.

Eurodiesel will experience an increase of eight cents, setting its price at 1.38 euros.

Additionally, the price of heating oil will rise by seven cents, resulting in a new cost of 1.31 euros.

The last adjustments to fuel prices occurred on June 17, where there was a minor increase of one to two cents across all fuel types.

The forthcoming assessment of price changes will take place on July 16, with any new rates becoming effective from July 17, as stipulated in the guidelines for determining the maximum retail prices of petroleum products.

The Ministry noted that recent geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, specifically between Iran and Israel, have contributed to a temporary spike in global oil prices.

“As anticipated, this fluctuation has influenced the pricing of petroleum products in Montenegro, as corroborated by the latest assessment,” a Ministry statement indicated.

The Ministry reassured that the supply chain remains secure, functioning without disruption.

Additionally, the Ministry highlighted the necessity of establishing strategic reserves of petroleum products, which could help mitigate sudden market shifts in times of crisis.

Fuel prices in Montenegro continue to be among the lowest in the region. Based on recent global market data, a stabilization and gradual price decrease is anticipated in the near future.
