Following their silver medal performance at the Tokyo Olympic Games and the bronze medal at the recent World Championship in Budapest, Greece is poised to compete for more accolades in Fukuoka.
This morning, the “Helens” claimed a thrilling victory against Montenegro (10:9). Our team, particularly during the third quarter with their intense defense, came close to turning the game in their favor.
“We displayed remarkable character and passion; in the third period, we resisted Montenegro’s attacks, and in the end, we celebrated. The players deserve all the praise,” stated Greece’s coach, Teodoros Vlahos, as reported by “Sportal.gr.”
The Greek coach further remarked…
“Against Montenegro’s formidable defense, we managed to score two goals through excellent teamwork and coordination,” Vlahos noted.
Will Greece face Serbia in the semi-finals?
“I simply want Greece to maintain its current form and improve a bit,” Vlahos concluded.
