The Ministry of Tourism has announced that flights on the Tivat-Tel Aviv route will resume starting tomorrow. This move is expected to enhance arrivals from this key market into Montenegro.

According to the Honorary Consul of Montenegro in Israel, Nimrod Rinot, the resumption of these flights has been confirmed by the Airports of Montenegro (ACG) during a meeting of the Coordination Body responsible for preparing and monitoring the tourist seasons.

During the meeting, ACG representatives noted that after a period of uncertainty due to ongoing geopolitical issues, a stabilization and increase in tourist traffic from Israel is anticipated.

Furthermore, the Ministry has urged the Traffic Administration and the Regional Water Supply Company to compile a detailed report within five days regarding the current status of the Adriatic Highway. This report should include suggestions for reducing traffic congestion and addressing issues arising from ongoing construction in that area.

The Police Directorate has announced that 100 new officers will be deployed to the southern region of the country this summer for enhanced traffic management and tourist safety. Additionally, 20 local officers will work alongside regional security forces.

Tourism Minister Simonida Kordić also informed representatives of the Travel Agencies Association that the public consultation period for the Draft Law on Tourism will be extended until the end of July. This extension aims to facilitate better legal solutions through greater participation from industry professionals and the public, as well as to maximize opportunities for the economy and stakeholders to contribute to the development of quality regulations.
