Buducnost Granted License; Petrovac’s Appeal Denied
The appeal was successful, and Buducnost’s players have now received their license to participate in the Champions League qualifiers – this is now confirmed.
This decision comes from the Licensing Commission of the Football Association of Montenegro.
“Following a review of the appeals and accompanying documents, the Commission approved Buducnost’s request and granted the club a license to compete in UEFA competitions. In addition to Buducnost, licenses were also awarded to Sutjeska, Mornar, Dečić, ŽFK Buducnost, and ŽFK Breznica,” as stated on the FSCG website.
On the other hand, the commission denied Petrovac’s appeal, leading to Sutjeska qualifying for the Conference League. Additionally, a spot in the Conference League qualifiers is available to the winner of the Cup – either Dečić AdmiralBet or Mornar.
“Petrovac’s appeal was dismissed as unfounded, as the club failed to provide the necessary documentation required by the UEFA Regulations on Licensing and Financial Viability of Clubs for Club Competitions organized by UEFA within the specified timeframe. According to Article 106 of the UEFA Regulations on Licensing and Financial Viability, if a club applying for a license does not submit the necessary documentation correctly or within the designated deadlines, the issuance of a UEFA license must be denied,” stated the Licensing Commission’s explanation.
