What Does Infantino Know? Ronaldo Could Compete in the Club World Cup
FIFA President Gianni Infantino has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo might participate in the Club World Cup.
FIFA has implemented a new transfer window for this event, offering the Portuguese star an opportunity after his Al Nasr team did not qualify for the tournament, set to occur from June 14 to July 13 in the United States.
Could Infantino be aware of something that hasn’t been disclosed to the public yet?
“Cristiano Ronaldo could play in the Club World Cup. Discussions are ongoing with some clubs, and who knows what might unfold. There are still a few weeks left, and it promises to be exciting,” Infantino stated.
FIFA has introduced a special regulation, allowing clubs participating in the tournament in the USA to sign new players during two windows—June 1 to 10 and June 27 to July 3.
Speculation suggests that CR7 may sign a short-term deal with a club or opt for a loan, with Saudi Al Hilal, Brazilian Palmeiras, and Moroccan Wydad reportedly in the mix.
