The European Commission (EC) has announced that Montenegro has met the criteria necessary to close Chapter Five – Public Procurement, as stated by Minister of European Affairs, Maida Gorčević.

She mentioned on the X platform that this development alleviates any remaining concerns about international agreements specifically related to public procurement.

“We can see clear progress, and the reform efforts are unwavering. We are on track to finalize this chapter, aiming for Montenegro’s accession to the European Union by 2028,” Gorčević remarked.
