Suspect Arrested for Injuring Foreign National in Podgorica

Authorities have detained a man suspected of injuring a foreign national, identified as BK, last night shortly before 10 PM at the base of Gorica Hill in Podgorica.
As per unofficial reports, the assailant brandished a firearm following a dispute.
The Police Directorate (PD) announced that officers from the Regional Security Center “Centar,” specifically the Podgorica Security Department, are conducting thorough investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the firearm incident involving the foreign citizen.
“The police received notification at 9:45 PM regarding a gun being fired at Gorica Hill, resulting in one injured individual. Officers promptly arrived at the scene and are actively working to identify and apprehend the suspect, while the injured party has been taken for medical treatment,” stated the UP last night.
It was also reported that the prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica has been informed about the incident.
“The police are diligently searching for the suspect, and updates on the progress or outcome of the investigation will be communicated to the public in due course,” the UP added last night.
