Indictment against five people for illegal possession of weapons, illegal hunting and killing of bears

Charges Filed Against Five Individuals for Weapon Possession, Illegal Hunting, and Bear Killing

The State Prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Nikšić has submitted an indictment to the Basic Court in that city against ZP, RP, MP, PB, and MM for the crimes of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives, illegal hunting, and the killing and mistreatment of animals, as well as habitat destruction.

“The evidence gathered during the investigation indicates a reasonable suspicion that on April 12, 2025, ZP, RP, MP, PB, and MM were unauthorizedly carrying weapons and hunting in a prohibited area when they shot a brown bear,” reported the Nikšić ODT.
