Part of a Wheel Detached from Vučić’s Official Car Mid-Drive; He Transitioned to Another Vehicle
A component of the official car belonging to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić detached while en route to the Kikinda settlement of Mokrin, according to RTS. Vučić subsequently transferred to another vehicle and continued his visit in the Central Banat area.
This armored vehicle is specifically configured for official transport, making the details of the incident unclear at this time, Tanjug reports.
Vučić commented that the incident was not significant and emphasized that there was no reason to create a “big fuss” about it, the agency reported.
During a rally in Kikinda, Vučić stated that he experienced a “flat tire” on his way to Mokrin. However, Tanjug confirmed through the Serbian Presidency that it was not a flat tire but rather a wheel that had fallen off.
In a television interview, Vučić mentioned that while traveling to Mokrin after visiting Melenci, a tire on his vehicle burst, RTS reported.
“After visiting Melenci, I was heading to Mokrin before the major rally in Kikinda and was in my vehicle at that time. I’ll provide some clarifications. Whether the tire burst, or exploded with all the others, or whatever else may have happened is for the relevant authorities to investigate and determine. I arrived in Mokrin and switched to another car.”
Authorities from the Serbian Ministry of the Interior have arrived at the scene, and an investigation is currently underway.
