Today marks the 100th day since the tragic collapse of a canopy at the Novi Sad Railway Station in Serbia, resulting in 15 fatalities and two serious injuries.

Students from the Faculty of Agriculture in Zemun have blocked the Gazela Bridge in Belgrade, with the blockade scheduled from 11 am to 6 pm.

“It has been 100 days since the Novi Sad tragedy, and no one has been held accountable for the lost lives. We demand that the responsible institutions take action,” stated the students in their post.

After honoring the victims, students subsequently tossed 15 roses into the river from the Gazela Bridge as a tribute to the 15 individuals who died.

In Novi Sad, three major intersections were blocked from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., effectively hindering access to the city, as reported by N1.

“100 days since the canopy collapse, 100 days of seeking justice and accountability—let’s gather, bring your whistles,” was the message urging a blockade of intersections in the city.

During the blockade, citizens used red paint to write “100 days, 0 responses” on the road.

Five students from the University of Kragujevac will run a relay marathon to Belgrade today to invite their peers from Novi Sad, Niš, and Belgrade for a protest scheduled in Kragujevac on Sretenje, February 15th.

Protests and “15 minutes of silence” events are set to take place today in several cities across Serbia and around the globe.
