Cadets Crowned Champions after Victorious Finale Against North Macedonia in Balkan Championship
The Montenegrin men’s cadet volleyball team secured a fifth-place finish at the U19 Balkan Championship. Our young athletes triumphed over teams from Bulgaria, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia, with their sole loss being against the Serbian national team.
In their final match of the tournament, Montenegro achieved a notable victory over North Macedonia with a score of 3:1 (25:17, 20:25, 25:19, 25:22). Our team started strong, establishing a significant lead at the beginning of the set at 16:8 and 20:10, comfortably closing it out at 25:17.
The second set was claimed by North Macedonia, who surged to a 4:0 lead and then 15:12. Our players struggled to adapt, allowing the opponent to equalize the match at 1:1 (25:20).
The third set was closely contested until the midpoint, where the score was tied at 18:18. However, the Montenegrins surged ahead with four consecutive points, leading 22:18 and ultimately finishing the set 25:19. Building on that momentum, they opened the fourth set with a 4:1 lead, and despite a competitive finish, they maintained their advantage to win 25:22.
