Since entering politics, I have always been transparent in my beliefs and stood firm in my commitments, stated Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) MP Nikola Janović.

“This is why I voted against the agreement with the UAE today. Montenegro comes first,” Janović shared on the social platform X.

The Parliament of Montenegro has once again approved the Draft Law to ratify the agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) regarding cooperation in tourism and real estate development.

During today’s session, 52 MPs participated: 41 voted in favor, seven against, and four abstained.

Almost all DPS members vacated the hall prior to the vote on this matter and did not participate in the decision.

The only member remaining was MP Janović, who cast his vote against the agreement.

On May 6, Janović had already stated his intention to oppose the Law on Ratifying the Agreement with the UAE concerning Tourism and Real Estate Development.
