We must combat hatred and foster bridges of mutual understanding, respect, and solidarity, stated the Minister of Public Administration, Maraš Dukaj, during the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Srebrenica Genocide.
“This day serves as a poignant reminder to reflect with sorrow on the lives lost, but also to recognize the dangers posed by national exclusivity, myths, and chauvinism. These ideologies were the roots of profound suffering and conflict in our history,” emphasized Dukaj in his remarks.
He asserted that it is our duty to learn from these harrowing occurrences to prevent them from happening again.
“We must combat hatred and work towards building bridges of understanding, respect, and solidarity. Let our differences serve to unite us in pursuit of shared goals and values. This is the only way to cultivate an open and fair society capable of tackling modern challenges,” Dukaj stated.
The statement from the Ministry of Public Administration noted that Dukaj is participating in today’s commemoration as a member of the Montenegrin delegation for the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Srebrenica Genocide.
