A group of citizens is set to hold a gathering on Sunday at nine o’clock, at the entrance gate of the Gorica forest park in Podgorica.
The gathering invitation mentions that the exhibition “The Decline of Montenegro” will also take place that day.
“This isn’t merely an exhibition; it represents an act of resistance against historical revisionism, societal fascism, and the efforts to portray crime as virtue. It’s time to make our voices heard,” the invitation states.
The organizers emphasize that they will not stand for the rewriting of history or forgetting the past.
“The battle against fascism is the enduring responsibility of every free individual. We hope to see you in Gorica,” the invitation declares.
The European Union (EU) has also endorsed the gathering on Sunday, expressing their support for a Montenegro founded on civilizational principles and an anti-fascist legacy.
The party mentioned this is why they will be present in Gorica, standing among free citizens.
“ES invites all citizens to convene at the entrance gate to Gorica Forest Park on Sunday at nine o’clock, organized by free citizens, to send a clear message together – we reject the rewriting of history, and we refuse to forget,” stated ES.
They indicated that the exhibition on display that day serves as a call to uphold the essential values of anti-fascism, freedom, and human dignity.
“The struggle against fascism is not a relic of the past; it remains a perpetual duty for every free society,” the European Commission remarked.
