Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić declared that the Serbian List secured all 10 seats in the parliamentary elections in Kosovo today, extending his congratulations to the party.
The Kosovo Assembly comprises 120 members, with 10 seats allocated for the Serbian community and another 10 for other non-Albanian groups.
Six Serbian parties contested the elections for the Kosovo Assembly, including the Serbian List, which enjoys the backing of the official government in Belgrade.
In an Instagram update, Vučić stated, “The Serbian List achieved a clean sweep, winning all 10 mandates in the elections.”
“These results are astonishing, especially considering the lengths to which (Kosovo Prime Minister Albin) Kurti went in an attempt to undermine the Serbian people and the Serbian List,” Vučić remarked.
He added that foreign entities have also contributed to efforts aimed at dismantling the Serbian List, providing both covert and overt assistance to rival parties.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to everyone associated with the Serbian List, and I am profoundly grateful to our community,” Vučić noted.
He described the outcome as an enormous vote of confidence, mentioning that results from Srbica, where 143 ballots were cast, are still pending.
“The Serbian List, excluding votes from Srbica and displaced individuals, secured 38,533 votes, while the nearest competitor managed only 3,217 votes,” he elaborated.
He expressed confidence that the Serbian List would prevail in all ten mandates and referred to it as a shield against further aggression from Kurti.
“Kurti, who was celebrating our potential downfall in Belgrade until very recently, will now need to be more concerned about his own position and longevity in power,” he warned.
He thanked the Serbian populace for their unwavering faith, love, and trust.
“What I can assure you is: Kosovo is Serbia, and my love for you is boundless,” he concluded.
