Herceg Novi’s Jadran has secured a place in the Champions League for the upcoming season, while Primorac faces a daunting challenge on their path to the water polo elite, which seems almost unattainable.
Today, the Kotor club learned about their opponents in the Championship qualification group during the draw in Manisa, Turkey. They will compete against Breša, Radnički from Kragujevac, Duisburg, and the French team Noizi l Sek.
Four qualifying groups were drawn, and with only the winners gaining entry to the Champions League, it’s evident how formidable the challenge ahead is for Primorac.
Nonetheless, the Kotor club will continue in the Eurocup, where all other teams from the group will also advance.
Last season, Breša reached the Final Eight of the Champions League, boasting our goalkeeper Petar Tešanović, making them a strong favorite to advance.
Primorac will also face Dušan Matković from Kotor, who recently transferred to Noizi after previously playing for the club.
In addition to Jadran, other teams already placed in the Champions League group stage include Pro Reko, Ferencvaros, Barceloneta, Novi Beograd, Olympiacos, Marseille, Sabadell, Jadran Split, Spandau, Dinamo Tbilisi, and Steaua.
