Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met with the president of the Water Polo and Swimming Association of Montenegro, Đuro Marić, expressing that “water polo is one of the sports where we can consistently anticipate excellent results.”
“The Government of Montenegro is fully committed to supporting the VPSCG,” said Abazović.
“The government has provided financial support and will continue to do so for sports associations and clubs because it believes in their potential for success,” the prime minister stated.
Marić emphasized that significant competitions and championships are approaching in the upcoming year for the water polo team and that financial assistance would be greatly appreciated.
“We demonstrated our quality at the recent championship in Japan and have a strong team capable of achieving remarkable results. Our primary objective is to qualify for the Olympic Games. We have the European Championship in Israel scheduled for January and the World Championship in Doha in February. These two competitions are crucial for securing our participation in the Olympic Games, which we are confident about. Given the modest budget of the Federation, we are counting on the Government’s support,” remarked Marić.
