Montenegro concluded its championship journey with a record of four victories and three defeats.

Prior to defeating Italy, the ‘sharks’ claimed victories over Croatia in the group stage (15:13), France in the round of 16 (8:5), and the Netherlands in the placement match from 8th to 21st position (11:XNUMX).

The Montenegro team faced losses against Hungary (11:6) and Spain (13:7) in the group, and fell to Serbia (15:9) in the quarterfinals.

In the final match, Montenegro consistently maintained the lead, occasionally stretching the advantage to three goals, although Italy remained competitive until the end.
