Jadran Unveils New Team and Triumphs Over Jug
The Jadran water polo team kicked off the season with a friendly match against Jug.
The Novljani team triumphed with a score of 12:8 at the Škver open pool.
Newcomer Dmitri Holod from Russia was a standout player, leading the Montenegrin champions with four goals, while his fellow countryman Ivan Nagaev and Jovan Vujović each contributed two goals.
Uroš Vučurović, Martin Gardašević, Strahinja Gojković, and Radzivon Ziuzin also found the net once against the Dubrovnik powerhouse.
Rino Burić shone for the South with a hat trick.
Jadran, aiming to make an impact in this season’s Champions League, will feature players including goalkeepers Darko Đurović and Ilija Radović, along with Uroš Vučurović, Lazar Vukićević, Jovan Vujović, Danilo Radović, Dmitri Holod, Ivan Nagaev, team captain Martin Gardašević, Matija Sladović, Matej Čaraj, Vasilije Radović, Strahinja Gojković, and Radzivon Ziuzin.
The senior team lineup will also incorporate young talents like Danilo Stupar, Damjan Vujičić, David Stevović, Meldin Hadžić, Dušan Vuković, Nikola Petrović, Radivoj Radanović, Petar Popović, and Tadija Matijašević.
