The handball players from Zabjelo triumphed over the top-ranked Budućnost with a score of 33:29 this evening in Podgorica during the 11th round of the SBBet First Montenegrin League.
Zabjelo’s victory in this city derby, bolstered by enthusiastic crowd support, facilitated Lovćen’s ascent to first place following their away win against Budva Riviera.
Aleksa Vujović was the standout player for the winning side, netting seven goals, while Dejan Lipovina, Dražen Mandić, and Todor Bulatović each contributed six goals.
Milan Nišavić was the standout performer for Budućnost, scoring nine goals.
Rudar seized the opportunity from Budućnost’s loss, overcoming Jedinstvo with a score of 37:30, leading to a three-way tie for first place, with each team accumulating 18 points.
Denijal Vukas led the Pljevlja team to victory with eight goals, while Filip Gazdić added seven. The Bijelo Polje team was led by Aleksa Medojević, who scored nine, and Danilo Joksimović, who added seven.
Partizan secured a win against Sutjeska in Tivat, finishing 32:27, with Veselin Drakulović contributing eight goals and Slobodan Anđelić six. For the Nikšić team, Vladan Lončar was the top scorer with seven goals.
Mornar 7 celebrated a victory in Bar against Berane 1949, winning 29:26. The standout player for Barane was young defender Dražen Peruničić, who scored 11 goals.
Nikola Babović was the top performer for the visiting team, finding the net seven times.
