“I Seamlessly Blend In Everywhere”
He bid farewell to Miami after six years in a rather contentious manner, but that’s not uncommon for him. In just six games with Golden State, he demonstrated his value as a key addition for the “Warriors”.
Jimmy Butler made his way to San Francisco, and the Warriors quickly found success, winning five out of those six games.
Moreover, the statistics for Golden State’s new number “ten” are remarkable—he became the first player in the franchise’s history to tally over 120 points along with more than 30 rebounds and assists in his first six games.
“I blend in everywhere; I genuinely mean that. It’s working because I play basketball the right way, I’m playing my game,” Butler shared with The Athletic.
He also shared his thoughts on the new team and his teammates…
“Many guys here shoot a lot of threes, but that’s not my game… I’ll focus on what I know how to do, as that contributes to the team’s success. I’ll play defense, attempt to steal balls, fight for free throws, and assist a free teammate whenever possible,” said Butler.
The Texan has closed his “open conflict” with Miami and Pat Riley following a recent “wild” trade, swapping Florida for California.
“The feeling of being wanted is what truly matters. And that’s what I’m experiencing here. I’m happy; this is where I want to be,” Butler stated clearly.
