Driver Under THC Influence Arrested with Drugs, Gun, and Bullets Found by Police

The police in Podgorica have apprehended two individuals as part of enhanced efforts to combat criminal activities and drug-related offenses, according to a statement released by the Police Directorate (PD) today.
The announcement revealed that police conducted a search of a vehicle and the driver, D.Ž. (41), during which a package containing approximately 50 grams of a substance believed to be marijuana was discovered.
“Following the incident, the prosecutor was notified, and D.Ž. has been taken into custody on suspicion of unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotic drugs,” the report indicated.
Additionally, the police assessed another driver, AC (44), who tested positive for THC, leading to his arrest under the Road Traffic Safety Act.
“Furthermore, two packages with a combined weight of 28.5 grams of the same substance were found on this individual. The prosecutor has been alerted regarding this event, and will determine the legal classification of the offense,” the report stated.
The PD also conducted a search of the apartment and other areas occupied by IT (42), uncovering a pistol, a starting pistol, and 100 rounds of ammunition.
“The prosecutor has been informed about this incident and has mandated further actions to be taken, after which a statement regarding the qualification of the act will be issued,” the statement concluded.
